Deck out yourselves and your furry friends in their finest green attire and bring them to downtown Chelan on Saturday, March 11, 2017, for a fun-filled afternoon St. Patrick’s Day celebration that includes four-legged festivities. Multiple dog-friendly events have been planned during and after the annual Wayne Kelly Memorial Top Dog Parade.
The annual Top Dog Parade takes place in downtown Chelan along E. Woodin Avenue from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. Line up along the street to watch the festivities or arrive early and bring your pooch to march in the parade. The parade line-up begins at 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot behind Wells Fargo Bank on E. Woodin Ave. Judging is done before the parade starts. A prize will be awarded for the 2017 Top Dog.
Back by popular demand for this year’s parade are the King County Firefighters Pipes and Drums Band. The band will entertain the crowds in the parade before embarking on a Chelan Valley Pub Crawl, visiting six local wineries and restaurants to play and mingle with the community.
