On March 19, Geoffrey Castle brought his band, as well as special guests to perform at the Evolution Night Club in Omak’s 12 Tribes Casino.
The performance featured guest artist, JP Hennessey from Ireland as well as the Seattle Irish Dance Company.
“They are just professional and sweet and great to work with,” Castle said. “This is my 3rd year working with the Seattle Irish Dance Company.”
Guests packed the nightclub which features moveable walls to accommodate large audiences. Castle kept the crowd entertained with his 6 string electric violin which he invented himself, through musical necessity.
“I started off playing a regular violin then went to a 5 string, and I kept wanting to go one lower, and I looked around and it didn’t exist. So I found a guy to make one for me and now there are 6 strings all over the place,” Castle stated.
Castle says his experience growing up in New York City, has inspired him as well as provided him a real time education.
“There were street bands everywhere. It was like going to school. It gave me a sense of how to build a connection with an audience,” Castle added, “I wanted to make New Yorkers stop, reach into their pockets, and give me money. When that’s your business model, you get good or you go hungry.”
Throughout the performance, concert-goers enjoyed a wide variety of bar-fare including menu items from 12 Tribes restaurant, Yú Asian Bistro and sipped on everything, from cocktails to selections from the extensive wine collection. Guests that reserved a VIP table were treated to four leaf clover necklaces and green sparkled hats.
