More ‘Tee Time’ planned for the Lake Chelan Ladies Golf Club this week

Weekly competition for Thursday, May 11 “Throw out 3” was rained out by the weather stopping by on its’ way east. The May monthly meeting was held at  as planned at 8 a.m. The rain affected attendance, but a quorum was present in order to conduct business. There is no June meeting scheduled, so the next meeting will be July 6 after golf. 

Apple Blossom Tourney — Joni Dedo, Tournament Chairperson, indicates Matches to be played on or before May 18 are:  Barb Rayburn and Janet Foyle, Nancy Storaasli and Carol Ferguson, Joni Dedo and Alice Soma, Linda Hahn and the winner of the match between Gail Peterson and Judy Johanson (to be played May 13th). New handicaps will come out on Monday, May 15. Please use current handicaps when playing your match. If you have to reschedule your match for any reason, please let Joni know when you’ll be playing and also the results.

Apple Valley League Team – April Talley reported that the next league competition will be May 25 at the Lake Chelan Golf Course. Their fee includes a lunch in the clubhouse after play which is also our ladies’ day. We can quietly purchase our lunch and eat on the deck as the Apple Valley ladies will be in the clubhouse. 

THREE LAKES LADIES GOLDEN APPLE INVITATIONAL — Lady golfers from the Lake Chelan Ladies Club participating in this May 11 event were: Barb Rayburn, Elona Teague, Bonnie Fortner, Janet Foyle, Maryjo DuRuz, Joni Dedo, Jane Storms, and Karen Erickson. Barb Rayburn won Longest Drive in Flight 1. Elona Teague was one of only three ladies who “Hit the Green” on #7, and took home a share of the honey pot. Maryjo DuRuz won 1st Low Gross, Flight 3 and Joni Dedo took 2nd Low Gross, Flight 3. Janet Foyle and Maryjo DuRuz were lucky raffle-prize winners. 

Memorial Rose Garden – Sherry Fisk was had at work last Thursday cleaning the golf course rose bed and planting new roses. We now have six viable roses as there were two that survived the winter. The garden is weeded and cut back and Sherry promises to patrol it with her pruners.

Nine n’ Dine is a fun golf game and dinner held Monday afternoons. All golfers are welcome to join the fun.  Ask at CJs on the Course for the weekly sign-up sheets. Nine n’ Dine is scheduled to start June 5.

Competition for Thursday, May 18 is Medal Play, Low Net by division, Low Gross and Net of the Field. Tee Time is 9 a.m, with check in at 8:30 a.m.
