For the first time, Lake Chelan is having a Festival of Trees, organized by the Historic Downtown Chelan Association (HDCA). Festival of Trees events such as this have been growing in popularity in towns and cities across the nation.
The event is a silent auction benefiting the Lake Chelan Food Bank! Local individuals, businesses and organizations have participated by decorating and donating Christmas tree or wreath for the auction. Come view their holiday creations and bid on one of these trees or wreaths.
All trees and wreaths are on display at the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center this week and next (HDCA has extended the dates for bidding). See all the beautiful creations submitted for the Festival of Trees, as donors really outdid themselves. Bid on and take home your favorite.
Thank you to Windermere for sponsoring this event, and to our tree/wreath donors: Tin Lilly, St. Andrew’s Episcopal, Chelan Printing and Custom Signs, Chelan School of Innovation, Chelan 7 Firefighters Assoc., Jim and Carol Taylor, The Cutting Garden, Virginia West and Cathy Sand.
The HDCA also send a BIG thank you to our Board Volunteer Nancy Thompson and community member Cathy Sand, for all the hours of hard work they put into this event.
