Primary Election will narrow some local races to just two candidates; ballots to be mailed out July 14

The Chelan County Primary Election is a few weeks away, and ballots are set to be mailed out to voters this Friday, July 14, 2017. Primary Election Day happens on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, where are voters will be asked to consider certain candidates who have filed for political office.

A number of those political positions have three or more candidates that have filed. In the Lake Chelan Valley, the following positions have three candidates running for office. (see potions below) During the primary on August 1, voters will be asked to narrow those three choices to just two candidates.

Chelan County Auditor Skip Moore says that means all ballots must be either dropped into a Chelan County Ballot Box by 8 p.m. on August 1, or post marked by the August 1.

The General Election that will include all candidates for all political positions will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2017.

City of Chelan, Chelan City Council member #06 (Non-partisan office held for a four-year term)

Skip Cameron Morehouse – Chelan, WA (incumbent, running for re-election)

Andrew Baker – Chelan, WA

Tim Hollingsworth – Chelan, WA

Hospital District #2, Lake Chelan Hospital Commissioner #01 (Non-partisan office held for a six-year term)

Stan Morse – Chelan, WA

Mary T. Signorelli – Chelan, WA (incumbent, running for re-election)

Jeremy Jaech – Manson, WA

Hospital District #2, Lake Chelan Hospital Commissioner #05 (Non-partisan office held for a six-year term)

Kathy Jo Porter – Chelan Falls, WA

Jerry Isenhart – Chelan, WA

Phyllis Gleasman – Chelan, WA (incumbent, running for re-election)

If you have not registered to vote yet, online and mail in registration closed on July 3, 2017. But you MAY STILL register to vote by going in person to the Chelan County Elections Department located at 350 Orondo Avenue Level 3, Wenatchee 98801 through July 24, 2017. Their office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Military and overseas citizens are exempt from registration deadlines and should contact their county elections department for assistance.
