  1. While they are at it they should really be removing the restriction on commercial flights into the Stehekin Airport. With the loss of the float plane service it is imperative that Stehekin has a scheduled aircraft service and all it would take is the National Park Service to remove their restriction this summer and allow wheeled aircraft to fly into Stehekin, the airport is in fine shape and the restriction needs to be removed. Right now the only way to fly into Stehekin is by Lake Chelan Helicopters, and while that works it is much more expensive than a fixed wing aircraft. This is something that really needs to be addressed now, the loss of Float Plane service impact this summers tourist season and the solution is simple.
