Chelan County Elections has released NEW and updated preliminary 2017 General Election results for all political races around the county, as well as Chelan County results for multi-county races.
On Tuesday night, a few local races were too close to call, but with more ballots counted today it appears that in the Chelan City Council Member #6 race, candidate Tim Hollingsworth has pulled ahead of incumbent Cameron Skip Morehouse by a little over 5%. The Chelan City Council Member #7 race between Rachael Goldie and Ty Witt sees Witt ahead by a little over 3%. With very few ballots left to count, it appears that Hollingsworth and Witt have the wins for city council.
The other close race for Lake Chelan Community Hospital Commissioner Position #1 shows incumbent Mary Signorelli leading opponent Jeremy Jaech by just a little over 1%. She is ahead by just 38 ballots, but with only an estimated 32 ballots left to count, Signorelli is likely the winner by a slim margin.
A total of 16,437 ballots have been counted so far, with an estimated 32 ballots left to count. This represents a 25,64% voter turnout.
Here’s a look at the Election Results for all of the contested races in the Lake Chelan Valley.
The next ballot count for Chelan county results will take place on Nov. 28 at 2:30 p.m. Chelan County Election results will be certified that same day on Nov. 28, 2017.
