CHELAN, WA – Lake Chelan HomeWatch has earned Accredited Member status from the National Home Watch Association (NHWA) for the fifth consecutive year. The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada. Home Watch is a service that “keeps an eye on things” at your vacation or primary home while you are not in residence.
Founder and Owner Ron Trickett started Marshall Homes in 1993 and Lake Chelan HomeWatch in 2013. He founded Lake Chelan HomeWatch after he began experiencing the anxiety of owning a second home. Many of his friends and neighbors with second homes also shared similar worries.
Having neighbors or friends check on his home didn’t work very well. Once his home had been left unlocked for weeks; another time a ruptured exterior water line spewed water for days until someone finally noticed and called him. His unfortunate friends without this “Neighbors Doing Favors” program had even more horrific stories of flooded homes or $1,000 water bills, damaged heat pumps, etc.
Ron decided there had to be a better way to achieve true Four-Season Peace of Mind for both himself and his neighbors. He knew there were others also frustrated about working on their second homes during limited vacation time and then worrying about their vulnerable properties until their next visit.
Ron has over 35 years of construction experience in single-family, commercial, and multi-family projects He has been recognized for his extensive knowledge of building systems and his unwavering attention to detail and excellence. His current and past customers frequently testify about the great service provided by Lake Chelan HomeWatch and how Ron treats each home under his care and supervision as if it were his very own.
In his free time, Ron enjoys boating on Lake Chelan, spending time with family and friends, snowmobiling and tasting the great wines of his local region. He volunteers time to help support the Manson Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity and other community projects. As part of his personal commitment of giving back to his community, Ron is a Board member of the Manson Chamber of Commerce and supports the Chamber’s mission of improving both the community and business environment of his hometown.
Lake Chelan HomeWatch serves the Lake Chelan area, as well as the Chelan, Manson, Entiat, Orondo, and Chelan Falls communities.
