The dinner will be free of charge for students and their families in an effort to promote community service and awareness of the cause. There is a $5 suggested donation for dinner for members and guests with all donations dollars benefiting CSI.

Red Nose Day is an international movement. According to the event website.

Red Nose Day makes it fun to come together and make a difference. Raising money and awareness for kids in need at home and around the world. We want every child to be healthy, safe, educated and empowered for the future. In short, our goal is to end child poverty. We’re making a positive change in millions of lives, but there’s still work to be done. So, let’s come together and end child poverty, one nose at a time.

The Lake Chelan Eagles chose CSI as the beneficiaries of the event due to the school’s unique needs. CSI is a pilot high school based on a ‘Big Picture’ learning model, which focuses on individualized learning for students who may not fit a traditional school model.

“Red Nose Day is about the needs of kids. The CSI students are well known to lend their hand to causes throughout the community. What better group to benefit from this fundraiser?” trustee and Aerie board-member Jillian Foster stated. “The students of CSI face difficult circumstances, whether it be at home or simply, not thriving in a traditional learning environment. It is inspiring to witness their successes and contributions to the community.  We hope our donation to the school can help them in achieving the education they deserve.”

The Lake Chelan Eagles would like to thank the members and volunteers of the organization as well as GoLakeChelan.com for their sponsorship of events such as these.
