Apple Valley Team News

Apple Valley WGA played in Leavenworth on Saturday, Sep. 9 which was another warm and smoky day. The team’s opponents were the ladies from Lakeview (Ephrata). Apple Valley team held onto their first place Net position, second place overall, and third place position for gross points. It was not a bad day, as the team split points with Lakeview, straight down the middle. Lakeview earned 54 points, as did Apple Valley. That was total points. Apple Valley grabbed a few more points in the net side of things, but scores were pretty even.

Traveling to Leavenworth, were: Elona Teague, April Talley, Barb Rayburn, Candace Farnsworth, Gail Peterson and Jaclyn Starr-Evans, who was nice enough to jump in the car and go with the team at 10 minutes notice at seven in the morning! A big ‘thank you’ to Jaclyn and to Elona for helping to straighten out the cards when the team got there.

Apple Valley will play the Three Lakes team in Wenatchee for the final match next month. If you have played for Apple Valley at any time during the year, you may play in Wenatchee. The plan is to have the top six for the team, and the rest will just go out for fun. Sign up in the locker room and wish the team luck!
