Bainbridge was a local physician’s assistant with Lake Chelan Community Hospital and Clinics, passed away on April 16, 2017, following a battle with leukemia.

A husband, father and popular local musician, Kelly was born September 10, 1952, in Torrance, CA. Bainbridge earned a bachelor’s degree in Music from San Francisco State University and later, a nursing degree. Bainbridge received a Physician Assistant Baccalaureate degree and certification from the Medex program at the University of Washington.

During a benefit concert performed by the Valley Winds Orchestra in April, Bainbridge’s friend and fellow musician, Dan Quigley spoke of the impact Kelly’s life had on him and those in the community.

“He (Bainbridge) was like my brother, and I enjoyed playing with him so much,” Quigley said of performing with Bainbridge in their band Brothers from Another Mother. “He would take the music from a whisper to a scream, then back to a whisper again, and the crowds would go wild.”

Quigley continued to speak of the relationship he shared with Bainbridge and the musical inspiration that was shared between the musician and Quigley’s own children. “Kelly brought great music to the community, but even more he brought the love of music to us all, and that will never fade.”
