The Lake Chelan Creative Arts Festival organizers consider themselves fortunate to have artist Julie Peterson returning to the event planned in Riverwalk Park in Chelan on August 19 and 20, 2017.
“Julie’s interest in art began as early as the age of seven. She spent hours drawing pictures of horses, but she didn’t start devoting her life to art until 1996,” Lake Chelan Arts Council President Ronna Currier said.
“Julie is a Wenatchee resident and is one of the most versatile and prolific artists that I have run across over the years,” Currier continued. “Her realistic depiction of vineyards, lavender fields, barns, birch trees and much more, will draw you into her world of nature. Her booth is often swarming with people that are in awe of not only her productivity, but the beauty of her work.”
The Lake Chelan Arts Council is honored that Julie donated a beautiful piece of art for this years Creative Arts Festival to be held in Riverwalk Park. The painting of Quail and Fall leaves in a vineyard (pictured above) represents the character of Chelan in the Fall.
This beautiful poster is only $15.00 and can be purchased at the Lake Chelan Library, Main Street Gallery in Chelan or at the Creative Arts Festival.
“All proceeds go to the Lake Chelan Arts Council to benefit the growth and devotion to art in our community,” Currier said. “We cannot thank Julie Peterson enough for her generous donation.”
