The Lake Chelan Wine Valley hosted their annual Crush Festival this past weekend, Oct. 7-8, 2017. Crush Festival is a two-weekend event that continues next weekend Oct. 14-15, where wine enthusiasts are able to enjoy and experience the harvest season at local wineries in the Lake Chelan Valley.

This past weekend, guests were able to taste, stop and dance during the first weekend of the Lake Chelan Crush Festival. Wineries throughout the Lake Chelan Valley were prepared with live music, wine tasting, grape stomping, barrel tasting, grape sampling, harvest tours, and so much more.

Wine enthusiasts were seen at Lake Chelan Winery enjoying the wine garden, the BBQ in the Vineyard, wine tasting, and grape stomping. Lake Chelan Winery hosted a free grape stomp for their guests. People of all ages were seen laughing and enjoying a little competition during the grape competition.

A couple from Seattle commented on how fun the grape stomping was, especially for their children. This was their first year attending the Crush Festival in Lake Chelan, all thanks to a family member. They were in search of a winery that provided fun for the whole family.

Also seen at Lake Chelan Winery, was a group of friends. Their friendship of 25-years brought them to the valley so they could check off grape stomping from their bucket list. The group had been planning this event for years and finally made the trip to the Lake Chelan Valley from Covington, WA and Phoenix, AZ and Mesa, AZ.

Commenting on the grape stomp, Willy Gomez said, “It’s an absolute must! We would absolutely recommend it to everyone.”

“It’s been on my bucket list for about ten years. This year I organized it, and we’re finally all here,” said Sonia Jenkins.
