All the kids know that Halloween is coming up this Tuesday, October 31st! Many will be spending this weekend putting the final touches on their costumes and making plans for how and where to get the best candy! The communities of Manson and Chelan once again will be welcoming Trick-or-Treaters at their events.
In Manson, if you’re looking for a safe place to take your kids on Halloween, Trunk “N” Treat is an event sponsored by North Shore Bible Church and the Manson Chamber of Commerce that provides LOTS of fun. Adult participants will be decorating their cars/trucks and will be handing out candy in the parking lot of North Shore Bible Church located at 123 Wapato Point Parkway in Manson.
Bring your little ghosts, superheroes, princesses, withes, goblins at 5 p.m. on October 31st. There will be prizes for best car/truck decoration. Each vehicle will be loaded with treats, and apple cider will provided, along with coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn and a photo booth for kids.
In Chelan, the Historic Downtown Chelan Association (HDCA) is once again planning their annual Spooktacular Trick-or-Treating event on October 31st from 5-7 p.m. The local businesses in downtown Chelan welcome all the kids (and adults) to dress up and take part. The kids will trick-or-treat along Woodin Ave and the downtown streets. Don’t forget to stop by the Chelan Fire Station, too!
At 6:15 p.m., there will be an ALL AGES Costume Contest, and prizes will be give for the best costumes. At 6:30 p.m., there will be special dance event at the intersection of E. Woodin Ave and Emerson Street. Halloween inspired music will be playing throughout the night, courtesy of KOZI Radio.
Chelan Middle School will be hosting “WE Scare Hunger” and will have a Caramel Apple Bar in the parking lot of Coldwell Banker-Lake Chelan Properties at 101 E. Woodin Ave in Chelan. The Caramel Apple Bar will be open from 5-7 p.m.
To participate, bring 3 non-perishable food items to donate to the Food Bank. You’ll get to earn a trip through the caramel apple bar, where you’ll receive an apple with all of the toppings!
A big BOO-tiful “Thank You” to all the downtown Chelan businesses for participating and taking part in this fun, annual family event!
The events in both Manson and Chelan are FREE.
Children should be accompanied by an adult.
