Each year, the Easter Bunny has some help from members of the Lake Chelan Eagles and Lake Chelan Lions clubs. Over 2,800 Easter eggs were stuffed in less than two hours on Saturday, April 8, 2017. It was all hands on deck to get the eggs stuffed for the hunt.
Thousands of Easter eggs are hidden in Don Morse Park in Chelan, Washington. For 2017, the candy-filled eggs, three bicycles and lots of goody-packed baskets will be up for grabs starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017.
The Lake Chelan Eagles and Lions have teamed up for many years to bring the annual Easter Egg Hunt to Chelan to the delight of local and visiting children. The weekend prior to the big hunt, both clubs hold a potluck at the Eagles club to help the Easter Bunny stuff the thousands of eggs given out.
This year, the Easter Bunny will be back to take photos and help kids hunt for treats. Additionally, balloon artists from Two Twisters in Wenatchee will be on hand. The balloon art is a free gift to the community made possible by sponsorships from Ryan Greene and Tracy Greene from Country Financial and Susie Moore from Cascade Carpet Cleaning.
A media partnership with GoLakeChelan.com has also helped to spread the word that this year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be one filled with fun memories and lots of fun. All proceeds raised from events held by The Lake Chelan Eagles go towards future events such as the Heart Fund Gala and annual scholarships.
To take part in the 2017 Easter Egg Hunt, head to Don Morse Park in Chelan on Saturday, April 15, 2017 by 11 a.m. To learn more about the Lake Chelan Eagles and Lake Chelan Lions, visit their Facebook pages – Lake Chelan Eagles and Lake Chelan Lions.
