“It is my pleasure to announce the Chelan Athletics Nominees and Winners of this week’s Student Athletes of the Week,” said Rob Rainville, Lake Chelan School District Athletic Director.
“Each week, coaches nominate a Student Athlete from their program that excels and succeeds, and we would like to take time to recognize them.”
Each winner receives a certificate, a free cheeseburger, fries and a drink from B.C. MacDonald’s, and their picture hung outside Chelan HS/MS athletic office for the week.
This week, there are two nominees and winners from Chelan Middle School.
The first Chelan Middle School Student Athlete of the Week is Ethan Kehl. Ethan plays 8th Grade Basketball.
“Ethan led the Pirates to wins over Quincy and Cashmere. Ethan always plays with high energy in practice or games, is a great teammate, and most importantly, he does it all with a smile!” Coach Stamps said.
The second Chelan Middle School Student Athlete of the Week is Braiden Boyd. Braiden plays 7th Grade Basketball.
“He had 29 points and 12 rebounds in the 7th grade A team’s 48-16 win over Quincy. He also had 18 points and 5 blocks in the team’s 42-31 win over Cashmere,” Coach Boyd said.
Each winner, receives a Burger, Fries and Drink from B.C. MacDonalds. Many thanks to Brent and Afni MacDonald for their support of Chelan’s programs and Student Athletes.
