The 2017 Chelan Earth Day Fair is once again coming to Riverwalk Park in downtown Chelan. This year, the festival will take place on Saturday, April 15 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The event will feature earth-friendly vendors, kid’s activities and live entertainment.
The Lake Chelan Earth Day Fair is now in its 28th year. The event has become a popular springtime activity that celebrates all of mother earth and those that protect her.
Electric and hybrid vehicles, equipment and tools will be on display to show and demonstrate the many ways that technology is going ‘green’. Chelan Electric Bikes will offer Pedego Electric bicycle rentals for $5.00.
Farmers Market vendors will bring fruits, vegetables and other snacks and treats for visitors to purchase and enjoy. Additional snacks and meals will be available to purchase in the food court area from vendors who have committed to using green practices in their service.
The Chelan Friends of the Public Library will also be having their annual Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Earth Fair. Look for their large booth in Riverwalk Park.
The Chelan Earth Day Fair has always offered an eclectic entertainment schedule, and 2017 will be no different. Popular acts returning for 2017 include the the Kevin Jones Band and the TLC Jazz Band. The popular ‘Trashion Show’ will also return, showcasing fashion made completely from everyday trash. View the full entertainment schedule at the website or view below.
Beyond Riverwalk Park in the parking lot at the corner of E. Woodin Ave and Columbia Street, the Historic Downtown Chelan Association (HDCA) will hold their revamped ‘Garage-A-Rama’. The sale brings local retailers together to sell sale items at deeply discounted prices for shoppers looking for a great deal.
Chelan Fire and Rescue will also get in on the action this Saturday, April 15, as they host their annual Safety Day Open House at the Station 71/Headquarters, located at 232 E. Wapato Avenue in downtown Chelan.
