More booths and volunteers needed.
The commons will be full of booths, each having a math game or brief activity that shows how math is used. Attendees will enjoy traveling around from booth to booth participating in the events. Upon completion, the attendee’s name will be entered into a raffle for prizes.
Enjoy these booths as just some of the examples:
- Booth featuring tangrams
- Play an integer game
- A local orchardist will have an apple weighing and packing activity
- 7th grade students will featuring a menu project
Needed: Community members who are willing to host a booth!
In the past local businesses have helped out by hosting a booth where each has an engaging math activity that shows how math is important in life.
If community members would like to host a booth, the school will provide a table for them. If there are specific supplies needed, they can request them from the school. Plan on creating a brief (5 mins or less) activity for students and families.
“I have many more activities, so if volunteers are available, but don’t want to come up with their own activity, we would still appreciate their help,” Sarah Sanderson said.
Booths will be setting up at 5 p.m. Most booths only require one person to operate.
Please contact Sarah with any questions or with your commitment to volunteer email@example.com or (509) 860-1462.
