The Chelan Goats Varsity Football team traveled to Okanogan on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, but lost the game 7-56.

“Okanagon is very good football team and program,” Coach Travis Domser said. “They will be a deep playoff team again. They are very strong, physical, fast, and well coached. We need to work to get to their level both physically and mentally.”

The Chelan Goats scoring play was in the second quarter, when Chelan’s Wyatt Habich (#7) ran for 6 yards for a touchdown. The extra point was good and was kicked by AJ Martinez (#51).

“I am proud of our freshman quarterback (JD Gonzalez) and our offensive line, and how [Gonzalez] stepped up after we lost our second quarterback of three to injury,” Coach Domser said. “We need to get  back to the basics of blocking and tackling this week. We are still in the playoff hunt, and this week is a big week.”
