Starting July 17, Chelan PUD customers with access to fiber will be asked to participate in a brief telephone survey.

WENATCHEE, WA – Chelan County PUD is seeking input from customer-owners as it continues its fiber expansion project under the Public Power Benefit program. Customers are being asked to participate in a brief telephone survey to give the utility some valuable information about their PUD-provided fiber and high-speed internet service.

Robinson Research out of Spokane, WA, is under contract with the utility to provide statistically valid data about how satisfied customers are with their PUD fiber services – or, a second survey will ask PUD customers who haven’t signed up for fiber services yet why they haven’t taken advantage of the PUD’s fiber network offered through a number of local service providers. The information will help the PUD to better understand how to improve awareness about high-speed internet availability and identify potential barriers to signing up in those areas that now have access to the PUD’s fiber network.

Chelan County PUD urges customers to participate in the survey if they are called. The research firm will identify themselves and the survey should take no more than 10 minutes. If there are questions, please contact the PUD Fiber services group at (509) 661-4151.
