Lake Chelan School District Athletic Director Rob Rainville announced that April Slagle has been hired as the New Head Coach of Softball at Chelan High School.

Slagle is currently a teacher at Chelan High School. Rainville explained that she serves many roles at the school and described her as a great asset to the District and the Lake Chelan community.

“April has a passion for students, and wants to represent our students and our community to the fullest,” Rainville said. “Last year, she would attend softball games and would tell me how much she missed coaching.”

April has previously been a head softball coach for over eight years. Her coaching experience includes being the Head Coach at Northern Garrett High School in Maryland for eight years and some coaching overseas.

She has also been the head coach of girls rugby, volleyball, soccer and track and field in her career, and played softball in college.

“We are thrilled and are looking forward to adding April to our coaching staff,” Rainville said enthusiastically.
